Hello, my username is Uncle Jay, but you can call me John, too. I own two Alembics: a Series 1 (serial number 90 6163) and a Spoiler (89S5326) The Series 1 wood is flamed walnut and the Spoiler is quilted maple. Both the basses have red LEDs. The Series 1 LEDs are installed by www.simscustom.com and the ones on the Spoiler are from www.fretfx.com The Series 1 is signed by Mark King in 2002. Well, that's about it. Drop me a line sometime. More pictures on request. All the best, John |

John, Nice pic, lovely guitars. Is your spoiler a special with a hum-cancelling PU in the middle? I would like to know! Kris |

To Kris (Keurosix), No, the 'humcanceller' is a fake, but it's a nice thumbrest because it is a piece of hard black plastic glued on the body between the humbucker pickups and above that: it looks cool, don't you agree? (at least, I fooled you... HAHAHA) This action was from the wannabe-days (I always wanted a true Series 1 or 2). Now I got the Real Thing, too! Take care, John (uncle jay) |

John, You fooled me with that "dummy" dummy. Of course, if you are daring, Alembic can make a real pick up for you to put there, and then you would have 3 active tone sources! Wow! I have a similar set up on my Modulus Graphite Quantum TBX 5 string. It came with Bartolini's originally, but I Activated it with Alembic. The 3 pick ups have on-off switches, and a master vol and one filter w/ 2 pos Q switch. The sonic possibilities are almost endless. Of course, your Series Bass is just a grab away for more sound control, right? Kris |
