Hello all. After spending a long time to myself in Richmond, VA, I've recently sought to become part of the larger community of bassists around the globe. I'm very glad that Alembic has provided this forum for us.
An Epic 6-string owns me. I am the bassist for the Anthony Curtis Band (Jester Records) and Rattlemouth (Cuneiform). Rattlemouth is on the verge of releasing the bands 3rd CD (I was not a member of the band for their first two CD's). The Anthony Curtis Band is currently in the composition phase of a new CD as well. Hopefully in a couple of months I will have more news for you on that CD. Anyway, I thought that I would just say hello.
Peace and Low Frequencies, Marc

Hi Marc, and welcome. I think you will find the folks around here friendly and informative - even the growing number of club members that are guitarists.

Peace

Tom

Welcome Marc,

just out of curiosity "Langelier" seems very French to me? As is the way of writing of your first name.
Roots this side of the pond???

Hi Paul. You are right, definitely French heritage. Born in US though.

Hello 8-string. I'm sorry, the name Chris Jenx does not sound familiar, but I'm not good with remembering names. I did play in a rock/top40 band based out of waldorf a long time ago, but I never lived in MD.

Hello, this is my first post. I am the proud owner of an Elan IV Bass. I purchased it at Retro Music in 1990. Paid a whopping $900 for it, only upon further research, to find out it is far more expensive new. I can see why, the instrument is a true wonder. Ivon Schmuckler, of Artisan's Outlet, Northampton MA called it "The fretless Steinway". With good reason, Not only is it physically beautiful, and great sounding, it plays virtually effortlessly. That's it for now, Keep it real folks, Bad Bob - "Bad Penny"

Another belated welcome (from another bob) - don't know how we missed you. Is your Elan a fretless, by any chance?
