Tony, welcome to the club. BTW, we love pictures around here, whenever you can get around to it.

Edit: Tony, I took some time and checked out the websites. Great stuff. Great range of styles in your music. On all of them the lines are tasty, solid as a cornerstone, and your bass tone is great. Didn't mean to write a little review here but that was a very enjoyable website visit.

Thanks so much Dave!
Anyone here can go to
http://www.senny.com/holy_land.html
and download SHAPLA for free, which is my 9 minute
Beatles medley performed on 12 string bass.
This track is actually a composite of three bass tracks.
12 string bass playing the bulk,, chords, melodies, etc

a second track added, which by the way, was my Guild Starfire, that acts as the support, playing the Paul McCartney role

a third fretless bass track that duplicates string lines and melodies...

and to adress a post you made when i wasn't a club member, my Alembic has a Walnut top and back, with a mahogany core, your guess was correct!

Hi! My name is Kendall Jones. A long time Alembic lover. No website but can be emailed @ kendall_jones@hotmail.com. Have played mainly gopsel/R+B around the Greensboro, NC area for 31+ years. Own and have owned tons of gear but Alembic wise own a 1994 Essence played through a 1995 Alembic F1-X Preamp EV Poweramp and 2 Aguilar GS112T cabs. Like many basement keepers the cabinet set up could change at a moments notice. Hopefully my photos will load. How I obtained my essence is quite interesting, if enough people inquire I will post the story here.
Photos of my Alembic gear and half short stack.
Rack!!

Tony,
I love SHAPLA. The George stuff in particular. It seems well suited to the 12 string. Even though it is not a 12 string it made me pull out my 8 string again. I had forgotten how the octive strings can set off a melody line. I've also listened to your CD's samples and like much of what I've heard. The result, I ordered it.

Keith,
Thanks for these kind words, i am thankful for them..By the way-- i used my Alembic on the following tracks.. A Dark Place, doubling the melody(although the solo is on my Carl Thompson Six string), on Because(triple tracked Alembics) and Vocalise, a Rachmaninoff piece..Have you checked out http://www.12stringbass.net ?
It's quite simply the most extensive coverage of the electric 12 string bass guitar that i have ever seen, all made possible by a guy by the name of Mark Rowe.

The unique tone is obvious--check out the track entitled Voodoo Tone..

Very nice, Tony.
I also really like the groove on Brain Power. Is that the Series I as well?

Hey everybody,
I did Andy Rothstein's entire record on my 1981 Alembic Series One..Note-- i only used the neck pickup, and..Pyramid Flatwounds...also- direct, no amp...i usually run it in stereo live, but
