Hello, everyone. I have recently been spending a lot of time at this website because in October of 2002 I purchased my first Alembic. It's a 1983 Epic 4(used) with flame walnut top. The only thing I can say about it is that it blows me away. The electronics are so powerful, the engineering of the hardware, the beautiful wood and craftsmanship. All of it, helped me to hear(or should I say almost see) the low end in a new way. Now, having my Epic and visiting this website started me dreaming of my own custom Alembic. The only thing is that after seeing all the different models, options and upgrades I kind of lost my bearings. I forgot what I really wanted and what first got me hooked. So, now after taking some time to re-evaluate, I know what I want and I just hope Alembic can accomodate my ideas. I will describe my dream custom in the Dreaming for Now section for all you veteran Alembicians to critique, comment and suggest other ideas that might work. Thanks everyone. And Thank you Alembic for showing me a brighter rainbow of sounds. |

Hi Michael, I also just became the owner of a 95 epic 5 in november, and you sure are wright about the blown away bit. I have had alot of basses but nothing compairs to a Alembic. Its the only bass i now owen. From what i have seen I think the folks at Alembic can help you with your custom and there are a lot of people on this site to bounce ideas off of. Any way welcome and good luck with that Epic. And keep dreaming for that custom. Doug |

Hey, ichinumba9 I am also an epic owner, and I too am becoming more interested in a custom order, after looking around, but right now, I am enjoying the comfy 6 string neck, that I have been looking for! |

There's a pic of the Epic that I currently own in the Dreaming for now section under Supply Wood. My custom is in the works as we speak and they said it should be done sometime in April. I'm trying to get some "in progress" pictures from Alembic to wet my appetite. |
