Hi fellow Alembic-lovers,

it may be a bit impudent that someone who doesn't have an Alembic yet comes to the Alembic club, but I decided to do so anyway. ;-)

I've always loved Alembic basses. They are absolutely unique, in terms of sound and craftsmanship, as well as design. To put it simple - they sound, feel and look like nothing else. There's one word which - I think - describes Alembics very nicely, and it's NOBLE.

I allow myself to attach a photo of myself playing a beautiful Spoiler in one of music shops in Warsaw. It wasn't completely original (someone had changed the electronics - thanks the powers that be that he at least didn't replace the superb Alembic AXY pickups) but it still sounded absolutely amazing. It was eventually bought by Wojciech Pilichowski - one of the best bassists in Poland, a slap monster (I've heard he fell in love with it; I'm not surprised at all).

Alembic Spoiler and me

Take care,

J. (still saving for an Alembic bass)

Jarek,

welcome, it's good to have you here.
Don't bother not having an Alembic yet. It's a well kept secret that that ALL Alembic owners doesn't have an Alembic yet. I mean: when you buy your first one you will alwys longing to a second. So everybody of us is always mixed up in intensive saving programs. We are always feeling exactly as you how funny that may seem for you now!
Keep the dream alive man, we all did and ..still do!

Welcome in Jarek,

That's a very nice looking Spoiler, and an intense image of Salvador as well!

Hey Wheezl! I've just read you're selling your Europa...
I say...

ARE YOU NUTS???!!!

Nevertheless I believe you'll get another Alembic one day... This is a kind of thing that grows on you - you simply wake up one day and find that you can't live without one of these works of art.

I wake almost every day with such a feeling (I suspect the fact that the first thing I usually see is a wall covered with Alembic photos might be partially responsible for it) - and that, taking my income into consideration, made life REALLY hard for me... ;-)
