I thought the day would never come. I had only been dreaming about buying an Alembic for the past 2 years of my life. Through all the financial trouble and times of strife, this day finally came last week. I would like to thank Susan for putting up with my BS over the past few months and I would also like to thank my wife who has pushed me to become a better musician. Finally, I would like to say hello to the club and I am darn glad to be here. Only 3 more months till D Day and I cant wait...

Danny,
Welcome to the club! I am relatively new here as well but have learned and seen so much information and goodness amongst members that it's overwhelming!

Do you have a thread showing your Delivery Day instrument?
Regards,
Art

I had actually owned an Epic for a while but due to financial problems I had to sell it. I am getting an Orion 4 string, Zebrawood top, side red LEDs, and essence electronics.

If you guys would like to hear some of my current work with my band check out www.elementblues.com. You will find all of our shows around the Cincinnati area and a selection of cover songs to keep the crowd rockin.

Congrats, Danny, I'm sorry you had to sell your Epic; personally, I think the Orion's a nicer shape... it's the set-neck version of the Europa -which I have.

It sounds like a nice formula. Zebrawood's really pretty, and LEDs are nice, really handy. And you'll enjoy the low-pass filter... tremendous versatility.

Hi Danny, welcome to the club!
Your choice of the 4x8 cabinet in the blues band with drums is very interesting.

At 600 watts it does a pretty good job for all types of music we play but that cabinet is always subject to change..

I had to get rid of a 4x10 because it was too heavy. I've never heard of a 4x8, but I bet it's punchy and light weight.

Hello Danny, nice to meet you. Nice website. Listing gear used is always a welcome addition to a musician's website IMHO.

Ashdown makes a 4x8 cab rated at 8ohms and a nasty 600 watts. You can pick one up for about 400 bucks at any Ashdown dealer.
