Hello fellow members Just wanted to let everyone here know that it's good to be here with fellow Bassist and Alembic users. It was my dream back in the 70's to own an Alembic and even though my double neck changed hands, I still live my dream, I still play my Alembic(s) everyday and always will. In the 80's I designed 2 basses for Alembic to build me but the drawings and mainly getting the time to finalize the drawings just never came to surface. One of these designs I did mention and show to the late great John Entwhistle in which his reply was you should get Alembic to build it for you ..I like it!.. I may very well go back to the drawing and and make some mod's to update it a little and make it a reality,. Anyway just wanted to say hello to everyone here and many thanks and hello's to everyone at Alembic for building such beautiful instruments of Thunder...I rocked the floors many of times with those pickups..back bone and bottom what else can I say but thank you Alembic! I am also going to plan to take a tour of the factory this year around October and please anyone please feel free to contact me at my email address, with any questions or just to say Hello I will answer all thanks again..cheers John

John,

You might've figured this out already, but you're a legend here. Glad to have you on board.

Hello, John,

it's very cool to have you around here. I did not manage to be the first one to welcome you, but I'm glad I managed it anyway. I don't get much access to the internet during the Easter holidays here...

There will be plenty of time to chat in the future, I'm sure :-)

thank you, your Christian

Dear John,
a warm welcome also from me.
I am very happy and proud to see you posting here in the forum.
I once had the chance to play your old bass and it is gorgeous.
I am also a huge fan of JE so I know what you mean......
I hope to see you more often in here to share your knowledge with all the Alembic fans in here.
Take care
Oliver (Spyderman)

Hey John nice to meet you. It's amazing how that one add could have elevated you to legend status. What a beautiful instrument that is. I know Christian has given her a good home.

Thanks very much Sam, doing session work, playing at the Namm shows, touring and hanging out with John Entwhistle for a while didn't hurt my career either, plus the endorsements of Gizomtron Superwound and Rotosound. The 3 ad's were featured full page in Guitar player and International Musician for almost 2 years, and a magazine called Rock Scene. so it definitely helps getting exposure and being in good company, and making one's self available musically for whatever come;s up. Very nice to meet you Sam and hope we can speak again. P.S. I have talked to Christian and I know my old Bass is being very well taken care of and in good hand's Cheer's John
