I'm a bass player from Portugal. I've been in the stages for 25 years. Since 1995 I have an F1X preamp with a Crown Powertech amp with a 4x10'' SWR Goliath, and it's the best sound. Finally now I have an Alembic bass, an 1992 Elan. I'm trying tu put like it was in original with Alembic knobs, the serial plate... even the machine heads don't seems the original Alembic's ones. But like this, still an art piece, an amazing instrument. serial 92H7258. The club members help me so much to understand Alembic basses. I thank you all. I like to share with you those pictures. I used a Canon 20D camera with an 24-70mm f 2.8 L USM lens.Thank you. Best wishes from sunny Portugal. (Message edited by davehouck on August 10, 2009) |

Great photos Fernando! The back looks super smooth. Matched with your F1X I am certain your tone is desirable. |

Beautiful Bass, Fernandão. Very nice touch the matching back on Headstock, great piece of art indeed. Although non-original I think these light weight machine heads may be a good idea in a 5 string Bass to keep it balanced. Congrats! Com esse sistema de amplificação, os putos ficarão doidos! Abraços, Mário |
