Hey everybody,

Actually I have been kinda lurking around this board for a while, but I recently read in ROBBO's intro thread about the rarity of Alembic guitar players and since I have just very recently received my first Alembic guitar ;-) I thought I would introduce myself.

Name: Court Fawcett
Alembics: Tribute (hopefully more in the future)
Level of excitement & satisfaction: Immeasurable

After about a 7 year layoff (working and traveling too much) I have started trying to play regularly again. And I think I must partially thank/blame this board for my new found Alembic addiction ;-). I am already considering picking up a bass and giving that a whirl. Either way I think my Tribute will have a sibling of some kind before too very long.

Well guess that 'bout it.
Happy to be here.

Paul (tbo) and others,

Silly me I should have mentioned that I will post photos in a week or so once I borrow a digital camera. I have been checkin' out this board long enough to know of all the Pauls' photo requests. BTW I first started playing guitar while at a school called St. Paul's any relation hmm? ;-)

Court
Somehow I can't picture St. Paul hanging over a bar slamming his bottle and yelling. I was going to welcome you to the club but it seems you've been here longer. Congratulations on the new guitar though. We need to see more of them posted. Maybe some discussion on guitar rigs like there has been on bass. Those discussions and comparisons are pretty useful for the technically challeneged like myself.

Mmmmmm ... a bad one ... an good one ...a fake one ... a John one ... no ...no holy one.
I'm not a saint ...definitely not. The good one is as close as you can get ...but I think he fakes ...the fake one is very good in fact ...and ...huh ....I'm completely messing this thing up.
Anyway ...we're glad to you're here!!!

Paul the bad one

DOH!!! Completely forgot ...we also have a wild one. He's VERY shy ...he's a guitarplayer. He orders the most wildly looking series 2 guitar I've ever seen. Check it out at the factory to customer dep. See http://alembic.com/club/messages/631/5260.html?1069179373
Now let me think ...mmmmm ..could he be the holy one?!?!?!

As far as the holy one goes.... I'm not sure I should go there but...

They did name two popes after me!!!!

Oh my indeed! That guitar is gorgeous!!!!

Bro Paul TBO, your curiosity is forgiven. Polish maybe, Czeck perhaps, Slavic more likely, I'm not really sure. My grandparents left the old country before WWI from a small town in what was then Austria but later became Czeckoslovakia and now is??? I've had several different Euro types tell me I'm Polish, Czeck, Slav, Serb, Slovenian, so I'm not positive. I lean towards Slavic because I believe that is the language my grandmother spoke. The other half is French so.... ????

And yes, I owe the club pictures of the Spoiler 8 as well as the Exploiter and Persuader. I need to put aside a little time to shrink the files down to a size that is postable...

John Paul the ethnically confused one
