Hi, My name is Kevin Sigafoos. I live in Louisville, KY (USA). I usually play in church but I just moved here so right now I'm without a gig. Well, FedEx's tracker tells me that my eagerly awaited Brown Bass fretless is on the truck and due to be delivered to me today. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I bought it from Bass NW in Seatle. You can take a peek at it here: http://www.bassnw.com/New%20Exotic%20%20Basses/alembic_stanley_clarke_sig_brown_bass_fretless.htm This is my second Alembic. My first is a Custom 5 string. Rogue body shape, 36" scale, Orion electronics, and a beautiful burl walnut top. I'll post a review (and maybe some pics) in a couple of days. Happy New Year, ya'll. Kevin

Good morning Kevin, the SC looks great. When you post photos how about a look at the Custom also? Seems FedEx & UPS take forever when you're waiting on a new instrument. Congratulations. Sam |

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. I'll be sure to post pics of both of my basses soon. I imagine it will take some adjustment playing on my new SC. I'm use to the 36" 5 string fretted and my SC is 30.75" 4 string fretless. But it will be a pleasant adjustment, I'm sure. And Sam, you're right about Fex Ex seeming to take forever. I've been checking the "tracking" section of the website several times a day for the past few days. What really frustrated me is that the bass arrived in Louisville on 12/27 but it wasn't "due" for delivery until today so it has been sitting in a warehouse for a few days! Some Fed Ex employee probably had fun playing it for a couple of days. Just kidding. I think I'll leave work early today and wait on the doorstep. My neighbors are going to have to tell me to turn down my bass tonight so that they can hear the fireworks. Kevin (the goat one) |
