Brother Andrew!!!

Welcome to the club!
Of course you'll find other UK members. I think Jazzyvee? Definitely Brother Rog (you'll recognize him: it's a man who crosses though England photgraphing bartables. Oh ...and he lost almost all his fingernails by biting them off in anxious waiting for his Dragonwing to come - see Factory to customer department) and surely some other dudes I"m forgetting now but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them, just that I'm too lazy to check on profiles.

So now you go like hell taking some pictures of your new bass and post them here before the P-team arrives. You'll recoginze them: they're all Paul's and they love beer!

Paul the bad one

PS: I'm the one with the stocking over my head. BTW any fresh banks in your neighbourhood ...hmmmmm???

Hello Andrew
It's not just the Pauls around here that like beer! Make mine a pint of porter.
Congratulations on your new Epic. I know you'll enjoy it. I have a '94 and it's great! There are several members in the UK. Unfortunately there isn't a directory that you can search. Not one of which I'm aware anyway. Alembic has a small staff and they're pretty busy creating those amazing guitars & basses. Databases are kind of secondary, understandably.
While waiting for the photos how about a description, wood type, number of strings, etc?

Andrew,
Sounds like a beauty.
My Epic is also 4 string. There are photos in the Showcase section. http://alembic.com/club/messages/411/6646.html?1069268946

I also have a couple of Fenders, a midnight wine PBass and a fretless olympic white Jazz Bass.

There are a LOT of gorgeous instruments posted around the sight including Brother Paul TBO's honey, Bonnie. Look around and check them out.

Andrew,

Welcome to the club. I'm one of the Pauls that Paul the Bad One warned you about.
I'm a big bubinga fan too. Both of my Alembics have bubinga tops. Oh yeah, how about some pix!!!!!
Well, make way for some more Pauls!!!!

Peace,

Ahhhh, I like a fashionably late entrance!

Welcome to the club and support group Andrew!

I would imagine playing left handed would limit the amount of any kind of bass you would find. Although, I have to admit, I have seen more left handed Alembics than anything else. You will love your new baby! So sit back and have some fun at the site and don't be afraid to jump in on any thread ;)

By the way, I am not one of the Pauls you need to worry about, unless you leave your beer unattended......

Sorry I'm even later! Did I miss the chanting???

Welcome to the club. You're on your way to developing a nice, clean, healthy addiction as I like to say.

Greetings from across the Pond, Andrew, and welcome from another Bubinga Epic owner! Mine is a 5-string....check the pic at: http://alembic.com/club/messages/411/7041.html?1070571556
You are indeed lucky; I was more than twice your age before my first Alembic! Best of luck, and treat her lovingly!

thanks for the warm welcome from everyone

my addiction to alembics is growing worryingly fast but i think that is good i reaaly miss my bass when she isnt near your right about the left hand thing paul II its really hard to find good left handed bases ant the other thing is that alembic seem to be the only company i have found that dont charge you extra 4 a left hand bass. i will go check out your basses now Chris and Sam

thanxs again andrew
