I've wanted an Alembic ever since I saw John Paul Jones using a few of them in 1977. I finally got my chance 3 years ago when I purchased a 1979 Series II w/ Modulus Graphite Neck. That bass is incredible! It nevers goes out of tune. The sustain goes on forever! I own quite a few other basses, but the Alembic really turns some heads.

Hi Doug! It's been awhile since I've read the board. The neck feels nice. It is fairly slim, which is fine with me as I have small hands. It has more of a ringing piano tone. I really love the graphite neck!
