Im curious to see what y'all think. In passing, some people prefer to have their ashes spread on a scenic beach or mountain range... Others end up in some tacky urn on the mantle... I was trying to think of a way which would allow one to continue to partake in, if not help create music.... The idea of having your ashes placed in an instrument came to mind. Either underneath an inlay like the one's we've been seeing on Tributes lately, or in a hollow chamber in the upper bout.... One of the things that sparked the thought was a set of 'family heirloom' pieces that they were starting on at the factory. It's a great movie! This particular violin gets it's unique tone from it's unusual lacquer. When his wife died, the violin's maker mixed some of her blood into the lacquer and then applied it to the violin. So put that in your will.
