Well if I win the lottery this would be one of my dream Alembics, there are far too many ideas in my head to describe them all. Neck: Ebony and maple laminates, to bring out the fundemental harmonics and give brightness Planet inlays ie Earth, Mars, Venus etc My name at the 24th fret. 32" scale Red laser LED's on the front but two blue ones at the 12th fret Standard side LEDS Body: Figured walnut front and back with pinstripe ebony laminate, maple and purpleheart full laminates. Initials in abalone at end of body( like Stanley's) Electronics: One humcanceller in the 'sweet spot' with Vol, filter, vari-Q, sort of 'half' SII setup. Gold plated hardware Battery power only...I use a radio system! Well I can dream!!! |

Any particular body style take your fancy? I have always thought that inlay on Stanleys old bass was pretty neat actually. These days I think the Alembic logo somewhere on the body of the instrument would be nice. The one on this guitar is a good example. http://www.alembic.com/info/fc_bobguitar.html Although I'd have to have a good lottery win to choose that without compromising on more sonic options. jazzyvee..the standard classic body shape for me. The reason for a single PU is 'less is more', and it would be a superb type of Musicman bass as they only have one PU |

Do you mean having the pickup in the sweet spot like one of the positions on this excel. I don't think I've seen any of the large body basses with a single pickup. Jazzyvee |

Yep, more to the middle of the body rather than at the bridge end. Well it would be a custom with any body shape you request, I think it would be a one off bass with great looks and simplicity. |
