Okay. So I'm thinking that I might not be able to find a early example on the used market. I'll give it a couple months but my patients might get the better of me. Anyway, here I am thinking about knocking together a custom build. So far my wants list is as follows... Needs to be short scale. Two reasons really. First is that I prefer a short scale. Although my long scale is quite easy to manage, I remember how much faster the shorty was to play. The second reason is to try and eliminate the slight balance problem the early body style had (yes I want the early shape) which I prefer the look of. Next is the electronics package. I'm thinking about the signature one at the moment. I'm quite happy with my current Elan and the standard package on that is quite flexable, it is lacking that extra something. In terms of woods... well I really like most on offer. Where do you start? If anybody has any cool suggestions or even somebody who has been down this road before and has pictures then I'd love to see some. Just to get the ideas flowing. Thanks and Regards, Andy. |
