Hey Guys I just ordered my new bass in Coco Bolo. Balance K with contours and Omega cut, 6 string, 34 inch, vermillion body, Abalone ovals, anniversary electronics, bass and treble boost and cut for each pickup, Amber LED's with switch, Stereo/mono switch, blah blah blah! Can't wait to get started. I need to get with Mica to make a trip up to AlembicLand to choose the Coco Bolo top and back. This will be the last bass I ever build! yea right! Time to settle in for another six months to receive this beauty. Rory |

Hey Guys Just got back from AlembicLand choosing my Coco Bolo top for my bass and also had a chance to view my 5A maple while I was there. All I can say is WOW! I saw some pretty nice basses and guitars belonging to others there as well. I am not going with the continuous back plates I wanted to concentrate my dollars mainly on reproducing sound. Kevin, unforntunatly there is no lotto just my dwindling bank account. Anyway it will probably be another tense 6 months or so! Rory |

I wish my bank account was as resilient was yours, Rory. After I paid for by bass, "dwindling" was not the word I would have used (LOL). Congrats on your bass. Looking forward to seeing it get built. Bill |

Man oh man just six months huh?I ordered back in November the work order did not get placed until February and I'm still waiting for the bass that you got to see and play before me!BTW all I wanted to hold me were a few pix until shipping.Outside of Val,You and Kevin responding I haven't had any action on my thread since June.Although I know I'm close and this is my sixth one,all of them with the exception of the Orions took close to a year to complete and I'm not knocking that I just think that six months is very, very ambitous.I hope you don't have to wait that long. |

Hey Bill and Barry Believe me my bank account is on the ground but then again I am not ordering Series ll basses like some people. I must admit though Bill, you were the inspiration for me to order the Coco Bolo. After seeing yours in person I knew I had to have something simular. Barry, believe me when I tell you it will be worth the wait I only wish I had brought my digital camera with me. I only thought about as I was pulling up in the parking lot. The Walnut lams are very cool, nice touch! I had a chance to drool over my own instrument as well, I was almost scared to pick it up. Barry I know it is tough and I have not waited nearly as long as you but hang in there it is almost home! Rory |

Kevin I wish it was other people's money and not my own!Oh well, the sacrifices one must make I suppose. The next one will be a used Stanley Clarke series bass in the far off future. Peace Rory |

Hi There, I just ordered a Series II 6 string bass on 10/29......triple omega, pistol grip, heart omega, coco bolo top and back, purpleheart neck lams, ebony board, abalone oval inlys, blue side LED's, Laser front LED's, stereo/ mono switch, pickup selector on lower horn, knobby peghead, gold hardware, contin. wood backplates, MOP and Paua under logo like Pinot (Nov feat. custom). Its my first totally custom made bass, I did want to wait to next year, but with the price increase.......it would only be more $$$$.....this is my 2nd Alembic I picked up a used Series I 5 str about 2 years ago...it looked like it was never played, I can't wait to get my new one !!!! and watch peoples jaws drop at one of my gigs. |
