ok, so I'm too young to actually buy it, but the first time I went onto the Alembic site I knew I had to have a custom Rogue. How much, on average, would a Rogue with the following specs cost: 36" scale 5 String tuned E-A-D-G-C Sidelines fretless Green side L.E.D's Standard Rogue body shape with Omega Cutout (if possible with extra-long scale) Maple core with ebony accents Mahogany wings Ebony laminates on top and back Redwood Burl top and back Standard electronics Continuous wood backplates and truss rod cover Crown headstock Recessed silver logo with shell and rays Polished Brass hardware Bird Tailpiece (I'd like to have a Dragon inlay...but thats, what, $8000?) I'm only asking in here rather than using the online quote system just in case theire might be some innaccuracies in the quote form and to include the prices of ebony laminates. |

I forgot to mention a few other details as well.. ...but I just started thinking about one of them. Would the bass lose tonal quality if it was chambered? I was just thinking of the effect of the ebony on the overall tone. But anyway-- -Chambered Body (unless it wouldn't sound good) -Tree of life inlay (wonder what the price of that is) with a single elaborate J in the first fret position. -Ebony fretboard (however that might have to change to Pau Ferro because ebony apparently shrinks and causes the inlay material to jut out and cause problems) -Alternatively to the tree of life inlay, have any of you seen the PRS Bird inlay? Imagine that, but as a bat instead of a bird. |

Hoi Cliff, that sounds a woderful excpet one (1) thing!!! You'll never be too young to buy an Alembic. Believe me! You can maybe not spend the money but ...hey ...I think I met a 63 year old puber who couldn't do that. But age and Alembic ...huhuh ...nah ... Paul the bad one BTW: it WILL be one of those OUTRAGEOUS expensive Alembic I think ....I'm even convinced of that!!!! |
