One of the things that happen regularly on reggae gigs is that the drum and bass do a DUB section on some numbers. I regularly find that turning a knob(s) on the bass to roll off the filters to locate the sound I need, then return to the tone for the remainder of the tune can often be hit and miss when I'm not holding a sustained note, or silent at the time I need to max out the bass. This then becomes a distraction because I am conscious that my sound isn't where I want it to be. It got me thinking that if I had some kind of foot pedal to channel switch the SF-2, then I could pre-set some righteously deep dub bass and simply switch it in and out when needed. I think something that could switch between on and off for ChA, ChB, ChA + ChB and bypass would be great. Not just for reggae but I think it could be useful for other styles of music that require a dramatic tone change. Jazzyvee |

That could be handled by a loop selector. There's a number of ways to go, depending on whether you want to achieve A or B, A plus B or whatever. You could probably work it out with something like : http://www.voodoolab.com/switcher.htm. |
