I was thinking how nice it would be to order a brass trussrod- and electronics cavity cover for my Orion separately, to replace the regular black plastic covers that she came with originally. And I wonder if it's also possible to order wooden pickup covers separately? What would two of those appoximately cost in - let's see - Macassar Ebony? Just being (very) curious... Wilfred |

Mica/Val, if you can find some time, I'd really appreciate to know if it's possible to order brass plates and/or wooden pickup covers separately, and at what price... Thanks alot, Wilfred |

Hello Wilfred, I apologize for not noticing your request the first time around. It's been a hectic 2 months. Anyways, to answer your questions, yes, we can make you a brass plate for the electronics and for the truss rod cover; pricewise, I'll have to e-mail you tomorrow, since I'm home now, and don't have a parts price list handy. In regards to your second question, I guess we could, even though we've only done it with new basses; Susan, of course would have to approve it. I presume you'd want to use the pickups you have on your bass now? In that case you'd have to be prepared to be without them for a few weeks. I'll check with Susan, and see if she consents and at what price. Valentino |

Hello Val, no problem at all, I'm not in a rush or anything, just 'dreaming... for now' and apart from the holidays, I can see why the times are hectic, the price increase must have caused a serious amount of last minute orders, questions etc. I might end up ordering only the two brass plates. The wooden pickup covers are something I was just thinking about. I'm aware of the fact that they should really match the body wood in order to achieve the high standard Alembic wants to deliver, and for me personal to appreciate the change. And I wouldn't dare to send my bass on a world tour on its own... I look forward to hearing from you about the brass plates for my Orion! Thanks, Wilfred |
