I was thinking how to integrate the powersupply into my big rig, will mostly be used with non Series basses and most of the time with wireless system(s). So could it be modified like this: (preferably by Alembic, I’m pretty sure it could be done by a custom electronics builder here in Holland) Add three inputs on the back (¼ jack) -> Bass/mono, Treble and mono non Series input. Keep the Mono/stereo switch (or switched trs output like the old powersupplies) Switch to select between 5 pin input and the ¼ Series inputs Switch to select Series input or non Series input, maybe even a A+B setting (Series + non Series, which will require some kind of buffering/isolation I guess) So you can choose to use a single wireless system for all or a single wireless system for non Series + two wireless systems for the Series. The 5 pin input can be used when you don’t need a wireless system or as emergency when the wireless system(s) fail/battery in bass runs out. (I’m thinking of building a portable beltpack version of the old style DS-5 with a rechargeable battery for wireless use) Btw: The non Series input can be used with either a wireless system or cable, also needs to be split if used in a stereo system (signal must be present at both the bass and treble output) My limited Photoshop skills: Standard layout, pic came from this topic: Click here Maybe move the switches to the front outputs (I don’t need them) I figure the holes could be covered by a metal strip superglued on the inside (new holes drilled in the strip for the switches) and attach the trafo to the front panel to make more room for the back in/outputs |
