Ive been carousing the site for some time now, drooling over these guitars. Ive always liked Alembics. Heres my idea:

An Orion guitar that is simliar to the one in this custom of the month

http://www.alembic.com/info/FC_mw.html

I also like the headstock idea that this guy had on the spectrum

http://www.alembic.com/info/FC_jack.html

I also am very impressed with the burled buckeye that you had in that excellent series 1 bass.

Would it be possible get that wood on an Orion with the Roland PU and utilize a matching headstock like that guy with the Spectrum Baritone I posted the link to?

Hi, Russ! My sweetie, Cyndy, is a Carreiro, born and raised in Hartford, CT! (And FZ has been a significant influence on MY life, so, hi!) My Alembic will be a 23.5" with single coils. Oughta be the greatest thing since Thai iced tea. Good luck with yours!

Er...what I MEANT to say was, my Alembic will be a 23.5"-scale Skylark with single coils! That oughta teach me to post while I should be working. (No, it won't.)

That sounds like a great guitar. I like the Skylark a lot too. Thats funny what you said about your wife (or GF), I have an Aunt named Cyndy. She doesnt live in CT, but she spends all her spare change at Foxwoods, so I guess thats close enough. ;)
