This goes out to val and/or Mica (and anyone else who can help here) I am thinking of ordering an Alembic bass sometime in the future (probably several years down the line) but since this is a big commitment I figured i'd better start early with getting my ideas in order. I am starting basically with a clean slate, and a vague idea of the sound I am going for. Any help in designing my dream bass would be appreciated.

I suppose I should clarify a little, or this thread will never get anywhere. The ideal bass tone I have in mind is a growly, warm tone similar to Geddy Lee's tone in the early years of Rush. I also like the look of the Exploiter body-style, but I dont know any details about electronics or wood-types. (also, i've never played an alembic before, so i'm just going by looks and guess-work)
