Stop me if this has come up before--and provide me with a link, please--but I was thinking last night about whether or not it would be possible to have wooden pickup housings, inside which the magnets and coils would be mounted and potted in epoxy, rather than have veneers applied to the tops of standard pickups. Many thanks in advance, KFS |

If you mean pickups like these, then it's quoted on a per-job basis. Contact Valentino by email if you're interested in a quote and do include details like what wood(s) and what type of finish/rubout you want. |

That's it, Mica, except less ornate...I was thinking about Bill TGO's new guitar with the koa core, and wondering if it would be possible to have solid wood pickup and humcanceller housings carved from body core cutouts. the plastic ain't fantastic, KFS |

I'm not sure what you mean by body cutouts. The body is hollow on a Series I and of course the neck is in the place where the pickup goes. If you mean making the box from the pieces that don't make it into the body (like this picture shows) then the answer is yes. If you mean something else, then you'll have to explain some more. Hey, I like the plastic - but that's why we have custom, so you don't have to get only what I like. |

You understand me correctly...I was referring to the pieces of timber that don't make it into the body. Thanks for the info! |
