What models can I get the series I electronics in, for a custom built bass? If I was going to supply the top wood, what are the dimensions you need for the bookmatch? Are you able to take a piece of lumber and make a bookmatch? If so, what would the dimensions of the lumber need to be? Is there any type of wood that you will absolutely not work with? Is there any extra charge to get Bocote as an 1/4" acsent laminate under the top? Sorry, about all the questions but I just want to see what the possibilities are because I want to order within the next few months.

The body shapes that will fit Series I electronics:

Standard Point family
Small Standard
Enlarged Rogue
Enlarged Europa
Spoiler
Exploiter

We prefer to get lumber, actually. For any of the basses that fit Series I electronics, the minimum dimensions are:

7.25 x 22 x 1

The one inch thickness allows us to get a matching veneer set for the peghead. add 2 inches to the width if you are looking for a bookmatch to center.

We're able to use most hardwoods - of course, if we've never used it before, we won't have any advice to offer about the woods influence on the tone of the finished product. If the particular wood you propose has some historic problems, we'll let you know.

Generally we use 1/8" accent laminates under the top. For a figured standard wood like Bocate, there would be a small charge.

Don't worry about the questions at all! It's much better to get all the thinking abot the design done before you order, sometimes changes after we've started construction aren't practical and can seriously change the delivery date.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering about an 1/8" ebony accent laminate under the bocate accent. Would it be possible and how much extra charge would that run? Oh yeah, I did not see the Spoiler in the price list and was wondering how much would it be for a spoiler body style with series I electronics?
