I've been looking quite a while at the Spectrum and finally realized that it's a bit too salty for me to afford. The Skylark appears a more doable choice. I'd like to see a neck thru version of it. How much extra do you think that would run and have you done it before? |

Hello? Bueller? ;-) Just curious to see if you've done it before. I think it would make a beautiful guitar. |

Am I the fat kid and this forum dodgeball? ;-) I'm just asking if Alembic has done a neck thru skylark, how much extra it is (generally), and if you have any pics. Help a brother out please? |

Hey Pete, The short answer is: $600 option on this model. The neck will be visible from both the front and the back unless you get the bookmatch to center option on either face. The longer bit of information: There are of course many options to be considered. The price above is for neck materials as are standard on the Skylark. You can upgrade to Purpleheart laminates, Ebony laminates or the Flame Maple/Purpleheart/Cherry combo like on the Further and Tribute guitars. I'm sure you can even come up with a combination we've never done before. We haven't made a neck through version yet, so no pics, sorry. You can see what a neck through Tribute looks like, the first one was last month's Featured Custom. Don't worry if an answer is a little long in coming... especially on something we've never done before. I should have let you know I was consulting with the shop members about building concerns. If you ever have an urgent need to know something, please call us directly at 707 523 2611 P.S. I cracked up when I read your username. HA! |

Thanks a lot for the reply! I'm thinking of breaking the piggy bank this spring and getting one. Thanks again! |
