I just bought Billy Sheehan's Alembic F2B preamp for my Steinberger electric cello. I want to be able to use a continuous controller pedal to blend between chanel A, and chanel A serialed into chanel B, all without changing the total output level.

The kink is that I want to keep the signal path as short as possible. I think its possible to use a voltage controller pedal to control the mix remotely. I need either a custom mixing device or a custom mod to the F2B to do this. A custom device would have: A in, A out, AB in, out to amp, voltage controller pedal in. Im not sure how the F2B would have to be modified. Questions:

1. Is there another way to do it?
2. Is there an existing product that does this?
3. Has alembic ever done this for someone else?
4. Can I get a schematic and build it myself?

Thank You
