I've got a 4-string Essence in Kingwood with Europa electronics. I've got 2 more pieces of Kingwood. I'm having trouble deciding on what to do with them.

Part of me REALLY wants an 8-string (double courses), part of me thinks I can play 5-string fretless when I grow up, and another part thinks a baritone guitar would be a nice compliment to the set of three.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going for the fretless 5 and the 8. But the little baritone angel is sitting on my left shoulder nudging me on.

So for now, I'm just leaving the Kingwood bookmatches in the drawer. But soon I hope to make my final decision and get my complete Kingwood collection.

Mica, I've seen the picture of your Kingwood bass, a beautiful reddish color, more so than any other Kingwood I've ever seen.Isn't Kingwood in the Rosewood family and does it have similar characteristics to Cocobolo?
