Laminate idea for Darling

The wood to the center is maple purpleheart maple ebony maple-veneer vermillion. I haven't seen wide laminate as far out as the purpleheart I have here. Is there any reason putting them there would be a bad idea? I didn't even think of that. I was wondering about neck stability if so little of the neck was maple. The taper needs to continue to the end of the guitar (omega, smooth or point) or it will look strange. We've made necks with no Maple at all that are stable. With 11 laminates like you've illustrated, the strength is engineered into the beam of the neck.
