I've been recently playing my sc a lot at home and I'm still continually amazed at how much tone variation I get from it. I also have an Europa 5 and I wondered if it is possible to have it converted to have signature electronics? If you have done it? Did you keep the quick change switches too? Did you do it at home or send it back to Alembic? Were you impressed with the change in tone? Did you lose the original Europa sound with signature electronics, or were you able to get it back with the filters? The reason I ask that is that I like the Europa sound immensely and with it I'm able to get a bass sound that I really like that i can't get on my signature bass, so wouldn't want to lose that. So..... that got me thinking if it would be possible to combine both on one instrument through one set of signature electronics. A toggle switch to allow the filters/Q-switch to be used individually on each pickup in signature mode and throw a switch to get one filter/Q-switch combination to operate both pickups. The quick change switches would operate in both modes. I can hear you saying that would take Ron's bench time so would be a long wait, but I'm allowed to dream ..... for now.
