I see that Mica has posted some pictures of a bass in progress that has no maple allowed. I love this idea and it is an idea I have been kicking about for years, ever since they went with the completely clear finish. I just am so used to looking at a finish that is yellow. I know that the new finish is superior, but I miss the yellowness on the maple sometime. I would love to have a bass much like the one pictured with no maple. Of course mine would be a small standard body, medium scale, etc.........

Thanks Michael!

I never expected that my Bass would have so many positive reactions. I didn't realize that my ideas for this bass would incorporate so many Alembic firsts. It also has the first continuous wood on the pickup covers and knobs as well. I wanted and all Ebony and Purpleheart theme.
Count on the artists at Alembic to bring such a dream to life!
