The deed is done, the die is cast... Just returned from the shipper. Sent my Spoiler to its new home. Now, Alembic-less, I have only my Ibanez SR405 to keep me company. But...MUST PRACTICE, for, after some serious waiting, a new Alembic will arrive, just the way I envisioned it and jammed with new possibilities! My new baby will have: 5 string 3/4 "balance" body (See Kevin's Custom in Fac to Cust) Coco bolo top and back Custom cut (width and feel) med scale neck Gold plated logo Brass hdwr and back plates and S2 electronics I had to give up on a few options, but I'm sure at least one will creep back in before building is done. I'm excited beyond belief, trying to guess what stage the bass will be in when I visit Santa Rosa in April. Sent Susan sample pix of wood colors and figuring I like (I asked her to choose, since she's done a lot more of this than me.). Next stop, Factory to Customer! Bill |

That is a great body. Congratulations even though you'll miss the Spoiler between now and then. As they say good things come to those that wait but not to those that hesitate. Something like that anyway. Going back to work has weakened my brain. See you in Factory to Customer! Sam |

Sam: I agree, the body shape seems to be a bit of a new look. I like that it combines some of the traditional with the waist and omega with a little more "speed" in the horns. To make the wait a bit better, I found an FX1 on Ebay first thing this AM and grabbed it with Buy-it-Now. Nothing like updating your rig to pick up the spirits. Bill |
