Okay, I already showcased my re-think of a rickenbacker bass and my band's customized zebra fluff guitars and bass but now I'd like to show off more of my creations. I do do have to say that the pictures were not taken in a professional manner so they don't do the guitars justice. On top we find my nylon string solid which has a Shadow pickup and ditto preamp, it has a solid ebony bridge and fingerboard inlayed with fake silver music notes and SOL-key, it's finished flawlessly in amber. In the middle we find my re-think of a Gibson SG, this one is one of my main stage and recording guitars, it has a fatter body than a Real SG, dimarzio pickups (a DLX soapbar by the bridge and a PAF classic by the neck) a top loading non trem Fender bridge an all maple neck and a solid oak top of circa 1.5 cm thick. Also evident in the photo is the wear of the finish of heavy use, I have to patch it up some time. and last but far from least is my most recent project, I wanted to make a Les Paul shaped solid on which I could play some cool Jazz. Given the fact that most jazz guitars are made of maple, the choice of body wood was easily made. It has a a Mahogany contrast stripe because I like the way it makes the guitar look. It has an EMG neck humbucker with a single volume control and sweet switch (you may notice that the guitar hasn't got a jack output in this picture, that's because I had to replace it since it was faulty) The neck is made from mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard. I really like the sound of this one, when strung with flatwounds it nails that big jazzbox sound but without any feedback. so what do you think of my little wonders? |
