So the simple answer is, "no it is not directly interchangeable". Because of the bridge/tailpiece design you should have no problem switching it out as scale length is determined by the bridge block location. jacko Senior Member Username: jacko Post Number: 2847 Registered: 10-2002 Posted on Tuesday, February 01, 2011 - 4:32 am:    Brian - that's only true of the 4 string tailpiece. 5 and 6 strings have the same screw positions as the bird tailpiece. HOWEVER as each bridge is drilled individually by hand there's no way of knowing if the holes will line up without sending your moon tailpiece into the mothership to be matched.
