Hi Mica and Val, I was wondering about a lefty 92' Spoiler posted at dhrmusic.com They claim it is in brand new unplayed condition.It has several upgrades,including koa top and purpleheart laminates. My questions are as follows;
1. construction details.
2. any history of prior ownership?
3. Since the Spoiler is not on the price list anymore, what would a bass like this cost today?
4. What would this bass retail for in 92'( I am trying to determine if the asking price of $3200 is fair.)
5. Was Koa considered an upgrade in 92'?
6. What is the cost for upgrading to Europa or Signature electronics?
I'm guessing that an upgraded Essence would be about the closest to this bass? thanks ,Mike

Michael, Just for reference, I bought an '86 Spoiler off ebay in Jan. for a nice price of $725.00. It has a flame koa top and is in great condition. It seems a high premium for being left handed. Of course mine is used. You can see it in the Spoiler section. Val did say to have it insured for a replacement price of $3500.
I hope this helps.
