Our software platform had some issues over the weekend; so the folks at the shop set aside their luthier tools, and worked the problems. A number of user profiles were deleted by a bug in the software platform. Most of these were restored today from a recent backup. However, if you are a new member who created their account between 01-24-15 and 02-02-15, you will have to create a new account. It looks like one or two of these were able to be saved, but most were lost. When you recreate you account, use the same username, so that searches for your posts will include those made previously as well as new posts. If you'll send me an email and let me know when you've created your new account, I'll try to update your post count to include the posts made prior to today. We hope this hasn't been too much of an inconvenience. We are working toward a more permanent fix to these issues; we're not there yet, but we very much want to have a stable platform for this community. Thanks for your patience. |

We've had two reports of profile problems today. The folks at the shop are currently working the problem. We are also focused in on the aforementioned "more permanent fix" to these issues. |

OK, we've restored the user list from 02-02-15, so if you created an account after that date, you will need to recreate your account. As Dave previously stated, when you recreate you account, use the same username, so that searches for your posts will include those made previously as well as new posts. As for the permanent fix, we are beginning the somewhat arduous process of migrating our existing board to a new platform. We are working to get the configuration of the new software so that the transition is as seamless as possible. There will be a time in the next couple of days where the board will be unavailable as we switch to a new server in the meantime, and we will post an announcement to keep everyone up to date. Thanks for your patience in this matter - we're working hard to make the Alembic Club just as lovely as its always been. |
