She was pretty beaten when I got her. One p/u was kapoot, the brass needed elbow grease, and the entire body just needed head-to-toe scrubbin'. The output jack has had a crack (as if it had fallen over while plugged in), but has been repaired most solidly. I put on a fresh set of TI flats and cranked the action up high. Still trying to nail down the electronics, but it's coming along nicely. I played it last week on an outdoor gig through my YBA-3/2x15. ĄJoder! what a great musical sound, especially in the middle register. As with many of you, I coveted an Alembic since the Seventies. Now I have one. |

Congrats on such a beautiful beast! I wonder how would a Distillate sound with flats. Any soundclips soon? |

Thanks guys. Sorry Juan Carlos, no sound clips right now. I might have a link to a show I did, I can email that to you if I get it. You should try a set of flats, in any case. it's a great sound (for me anyway). No one knows the trebles I've seen. |

No pets here,I just feed the Squirrel in my backyard. He got mad at me when I spent all his peanut money on my Distillate in April '09 ! LOL______ |

It's my wife cat, she had her when I met her. She notes how much more the cat spends on my lap than on her hers. Maine Coons are nice, I had a roommate with one of them. |
