75-137 originally belonged to Harry's brother Tom.  I don't know the full story, but I'm guessing that they all came from 48th St. around the same time.... | ||

Harry Chapin always referred to him as "Big" John Wallace. On the live version of his song "Taxi", Mr. Wallace sings the nice falsetto part in the middle of the song along with his fine simple tasty bass lines. Harry's spirit lives today as he was extremely active in trying to end world hunger, well before Live Aid etc. He tragically died travelling on the Long Island Expressway, going to a concert to raise funds for this worthy and necessary cause. A nicer person would be hard to find. I still remember him performing at my High School (1975) and he always gave 100% in his performances. | ||

I've seen several Rockpalast videos - Harry, Little Feat, Stevie Rave On, Grateful Dead - and I have to ask, what is about Rockpalast? It seems like everybody has a hot night there! Peter |
