Yep ...as I said in the "offer" thread: "quite a beauty". Laying down on the lightblue bed ...hmmmm ...my twisted mind is going wandering to red kinky underwear ....
***sigh***
I have to see a shrink!

Hey ...admit that a bass without strings has something "naked" ...no ....?

Help doctor!!!

She's a babe! No doubt about it. I've taken the strings off for good reason too... She'll be loaded with Hot Wires tomorrow (Thank You Mr Green!).

First impressions though... fabulous tone and the sustain... wow! Pucked a string... went and made a cup of tea... came back and it was still going!

I love this bass!

This is going to be the start of an obssession... SC Delux in quilted maple is gonna be my next!

Obsession is right! Everytime I see a new Alembic bass or guitar I want to run out and get one.
She is beautiful no doubt, congratulations

Pretty amazing. I thought I'd be fairly restricted in terms of sound but it's quite flexible.

It has that nice Alembic tone too...

Regards, Andy.

Great bass Andy! You may have noticed that I also purchased a 1988 Elan recently. I just love the shape, very elegant and traditional (in a good way). I'm waiting for info from the 'A-files', before I post pictures in this Showcase section.
With serial# 88 H 4912 USA I expect it to be one of the first Elans ever build. But, still waiting for confirmation...

Beautiful Elan. The one thing I would ghange on my Elan is for it to be quilted rather than flame maple. That being said, it is transparent red, almost a cherry red.I'll post pics soon. That's 3 reds .
