Hello everyone. It is my first post. I proudly introduce my "new" 83' 2814 Bass. I got it yesterday. It is series 1 medium scale bass with grafite neck. Original body was replaced for good balance. It was black finished when I got it. I got the idea "back to natural". But it had maple one piece body.(NO TOP LAMINATION!) But now, the bass got wonderful flamed Macassar Ebony top. The top wood has nice flame, isn't it ? The circuit has Master-Volume and Mono-Stereo SW. Thank you all Alembic stuff. Fianlly I got this nice bass !

Truly a beatiful Series 1. I hadn't seen flame figuring on Macasar Ebony before... Gorgeous! Is that zebrawood as an accent layer? Mike |

It's truly beautiful! And man, love that body shape!!! I wouldn't be surprised if someone ordered a bass with this body shape in near future... Now I don't know which one I like better: Balance K or this one... |

Hi, The slab of top wood is "3125" at Wood Bank >> Macassar Ebony. The flame is outstanding than the slab. By the way, I had not seen 5 strings Graphite neck, except Jimmy Johnson's bass. Someone knows how many it is ? (Message edited by room037 on August 17, 2004) |

Wow! Did this bass once belong to dela? He sold something very similar about a year ago. Enjoy it...I have a graphite-necked four-string that I love more every day. |

Eiji, it's taken me this long to catch my breath enough to tell you that is one incredible looking bass! I can only imagine how great it sounds. I think I have a new favorite wood. The samples in the Wood Bank never do the finished product justice. Wow! Sam |

I had saved some photos from when Michael had it for sale (probably a sub-page here someplace, not sure where). What a difference the re-birth made!

It looked nice in black, but nothing like it does in Macassar Ebony! That one's a keeper! |

I saw this one at the factory, as it was getting ready to ship. This bass will definitely grab your attention.... Seeing the 'before' pics makes it so much more impressive. I love the zebra / Macassar combo! |

this is possibly the most beautiful Alemic I've ever seen. I can only imagine what a Macassar Ebony-top Series I sounds like with a graphite neck! Wow.

Hi vaughn, Thank you for your post. My favorite body is standard omega. But my bass is very good balance for play. May be the body designe is one of kind. I love the black center piece with zebra stripe. I think this project was good balance for looking too ! |
