Early example that doesn't even have the official Elan electronics yet! This one carries the Persuader package (volume, volume, filter) which gives this instrument a wonderful natural tone. Traded in two other non-Alembic basses & I absolutely love it!

Additional info:
- 32" medium scale
- two-tone burl walnut top
- maple body
- 3-piece maple neck (no pinstripes or laminates)
- chrome schaller tuners
- brass bridge and bird tailpiece
- no sustain block
- 88 H 4912 USA

If not in previous threads on this forum, maybe you were in Amsterdam recently, in the very nice but awfully crowded music store 'De Plug' where I found this beauty?

Stoney, try this link. It's probably where you saw this bass.

Well, I was in Amsterdam around October 2002 and went into as many music stores as I could find. (Don't recall the names)....anyway...great find, what a beautiful instrument.

At first I thought it was long scale 34", but this bass played so comfortable that I began to doubt. And indeed, it's medium scale 32", and just like my EVH it plays like butter. It also made me decide that my future custom should be 32", but that's a story that has to be told another time...
