The color is mesmerizing. And since it's purpleheart, it won't fade with time, right? I've been considering saving up for a 5-string MK signature standard myself (maybe in lacewood). You have excellent taste in Alembics!

LOVE that flame purpleheart.Very nice indeed.I don't know if purpleheart fades over time or not(my Rogue has a flame purpleheart top)but it shore is purty.Beautiful sandwich.

Yes this is a very, very, very nice Mark King and I often think about it. I had to part with it though, in order to get my current SERIES II bass. I actually traded my first ALEMBIC (Stanley Clarke signature 4 string) for this bass. Well, I gotta go now, I don't visit this topic page much anymore...:-(

I really love the color of this flame purpleheart. When this pic was first posted it was the first one I had seen like this...and after seeing it again, it's making it hard for me to decide if I want my next one in Coco Bolo again or in purpleheart...very nice.
