I had to post here some pictures of my Essence 5 to share with Alembic Club so everyone can take a look at it.
It's a beauty, i love the walnut and the mahogany body. My relation with her is a long one, lasting since 1995 when I bought it at a shop here in Portugal.
Since then, we have a long history of gigs.
I started playing in bars and clubs, had several totally different bands, recorded a CD, and went to a Big Jazz band (we call it Jazz Orchestra here, we were a quite numerous one, with around 16 musicians) .
Then i disconnected away from music a couple years ago.
Now its time to take the dust away.
Every time i look to my Alembic, very good memories come to my mind and i feel my fingers wanting to touch her again.
Next step, clean thoroughly all the dust, buy a new set of strings and get back to the good o'days.
You can tell by the pictures that she really needs to be washed clean, and has some dents on the peghead, it happens after all this years of gigging around, they are the scars of good moments and hardwork and im not ashamed of them.
As soon as i clean everything i'll post new pictures with better camera.
And this is me recording:

and welcome to the forum. That's a very nice Essence you have. I have an Epic with flamed walnut top and love her dearly.
Welcome back to music as well. I hope you get out and exercise those musical muscles to knock off the dust.
