The balances is a little neck heavy.
I play with my basses high and tight, so it doesn't really have room to drop.

There's not a whole lot going on in the side view.

Bill___Absolutely Beautiful! Is this the one that you purchased from the fellow from the Bay Area in California? It was listed just a 15 minute drive from me and I was so tempted. I am very glad that you picked it up. Congratulations !!!

Yes, I bought it from the original owner, Bill MacBeath.
I found out later from Mica, he was a friend of the family.

That's swell ! I exchanged email with him when he listed it , he seemed like a nice individual. I have been lucky and blessed the last few years regarding great Alembics . I think this time it was your turn for the " transitive nightfall of diamonds " ! I had mine turn a few times now .
