The contrast with the two stripes of wood near the center is very attractive. They almost look like a different type of wood from the rear. My band mates even notice the difference. I've also had many bass rigs (Ampeg, Genz Benz, Fender, SWR) but the one I like best is the new Yorkville 200 Combo. Even my wife (singer in my band) loves the new bass and it's sound through the Yorkville. Enough about me and my new bass...sort of like showing off one of my kids, huh?! And I haven't stopped smiling since I got this bass!! Wayne
