I traded in an Ibanez GSR200 for this - the Alembic is about 20 steps up from that. I think there were probably other musicians in the city that deserve an Alembic more than me, but they don't come through Edmonton that often and I wanted to grab it while I could. It pays to be informed. :-)

Very nice Epic, in fact one of the nicest I've ever seen. Cool picture too! I'd love to see a close-up of the top wood...

Very sweet looking bass, and it surely is a close cousin to my 94 flame koa Epic 94W8256 (born fretted, now fretless). What's the serial# on yours?

That's cool, mine is 94W8629. I saw yours - it looks like mine has a tighter flame, but I like the eyes on yours.

I'll try to get some more pics up soon - I tried taking a few closeups but they didn't turn out.

Ok, here are some more detailed pics - enjoy. It looks like there is some wear between the bridge and pickup, but never fear, it's just a reflection. And yes, those are my sheets... Pic1

The top wood looks really nice!

So Paul; have you figured out what song the sheet music is for?

Well ...definitely not the bad music as pronounced by a guy with a thick spanish accent
(hehehehehe ...still love that one)

Hmmmm ...Nathan East is playing "Between the sheets" while Chaka Kahn is singing. Huh ...he plays bass ...not CHaka
Hmmmm ...I think my English is taking some unexpected curves here.
Anyway ...we have Fourplay Between the sheets

oh ...
huh ...
that didn't turn out right either.
ANyway ...
you know what I mean.

Paul tbo,
I hadn't heard that one before...

"Do you want to
buy some sheet music?"

"I didn't know you were
from Spain, no thanks."

LMAO May I use this on my bandmates?

Well ...it comes from one of the brothers as a reaction on:
"How can you make the bassplayer play less loud"?
"Give him his part on sheet music"

Someone answered:
"Huh ...what is sheet music?"
and a brother answered

"A man with a thick spanish accent saying that it is bad music". I am stilllaughing out loud when I tell that joke to myself.
(As you probably know as astrological Gemini sign I have multi-persons in me and I can tell a joke to myself I never heard before what makes me crank up by laughter. Yep ...we have a lot of fun in me.)

Paul the bad one

Mmmmmm ...ok ...I know ...I should consult a shrink! BUt ...I am not dangerous!
