I finally got around to taking some decent photos that are worthy enough to show off this wonderful instrument. It is my first Alembic and is the inspiration for my Alembic Forum user name. It features a 5A quilted maple top and 3A quilted maple back. Hippie body sandwich is maple and mahogany with purple heart accents. Headstock veneer is 5A quilted maple. Interesting bit of trivia - a photo of this instrument was used to illustrate the function of the signature controls in the FAQ section: Enjoy! Yes - here's a couple of shots of the back. Top is 5A quilted maple and back is 3A. I've been thinking about replacing the brass plates with either purple heart, mahogany or plain maple. |
