Hi All, Long time listener, first time caller... Like all of you, I'm a big fan of Alembic... I won't bore you with the details, but I did want to share pictures of my bass with you all. I had this made a few years ago... a childhood dream come true! Thanks. Keith |

Hi Keith, that's a beatiful bass! I don't think a discussion of the control setup would hurt. I would guess you started with a Stanley Clarke model? So that would be a mono-stereo switch next to the 1/4" jack. Mike |

Hi Mike, I started with a Stanley standard, added a back laminate, 20th anniversary electronics, bass and treble boost/cut switches, and side L.E.D.'s in red which turn on when the bass is plugged in. The black line between the pickups is a strip of ebony that serves as a thumb rest. It has golden mother of pearl inlays and a slight amber tint to the finish. Thanks, Keith |

That slight amber tint really makes that quilt jump. I regret not getting a tint on my bass. |

Wew Keith ...really nice and well thought of electronics. And indeed that amberish color surplus really "makes" it! Paul the bad one |

That is one ugly bass you got there Keith.... I'll bet you have to drink a sixpack before you can even open the case on that one.*Laughs sarcastically* Seriously, That is one of the most beautiful Quilt patterns I have ever seen. I love to see those SC models all decked out like yours. The matching headstock is a nice touch.(I wish mine had that) |
