I was out of work at the time, but I figured that a bass this beautiful only comes along once in a lifetime. Can anyone help me identify the top wood? Thanks. Alembic has kept records for many of the instruments they have built over the years. After reading your comment, I researched Lacewood and I think that you are correct. Wild wide-to-narrow pattern in it. And it's a Vector body Spoiler, too, rare! Guitar Resurrection had a beautiful Essence in lacewood and I thought someone in the Club snagged it.
