The Jacksonville Jazz Festival is an annual event here spread over several venues. It is on a weekend and for the most part free to the public. Stanley Clark and George Duke performed together this year.
I can't take credit for the photo. I took it from the website of the local newspaper.

Hm, it doesn't have the dragon inlay, and the neck lams look like purpleheart - so it can't be the 30th Anniversary.

Good eyes Adriaan: I can see there's no dragon but how can you see the purpleheart neck lams?

Ebony would be nearly black, and these lams are red.

Physical dimensions are the same as his Dragon's Breath - but this one's all Vermilion and Maple - even the neck.

hey mica, is that an ebony front peghead laminate, or is it vermilion in low light? it's quite dark, but it does seem to have a tinge of red in it

The peghead faces are vermilion as well. I just spoke with Stan's manager, and as much as he loves the new bass, he's still a little wary about taking it on the road. So unless you see him play in southern California, you probably won't see the Dragon's Breath live for a while.
