I got my first Alembic slightly over 2 years ago. They are certainly habit-forming! Recently, I bought my first new Alembic from B & B Music in Delaware. It's a custom build with EVH body shape, EMW electronics, and a beautiful walnut top. The balance on this bass is absolutely perfect for me. The pictures aren't that great (it seems like we haven't had sun and warm temperatures for quite a while!), but I wanted to share this with my Alembic family.

Here are a few more. Having too much fun now that I've figured out a way to resize my pictures. Enjoy!

Beautiful bass, Rob; this looks so comfortable to play. Purpleheart & Maple in the neck is a wonderful thing!

Wow, it's beautiful! I would seriously consider this shape if I had to build a new one.

Thanks! I really like the body shape, too. The body is pretty large; similar in size to my Series 1 Standard Point. Despite its size, this bass only weighs in the neighborhood of 9 lbs.

I'll tell you, it's even kind of Rogue-esque. It has a less pronounced top horn and lower wing, on the knobs side. The Rogue looks like it's been stretched grabbing it from the the tip of the upper horn and the lower bottom, like it was made out of rubber haha. Check them out side by side.
